Student accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis through a personalized process between the student and the ADA Coordinator.

The ADA Coordinator partners with the students, faculty, and appropriate campus departments to identify and implement accommodations that address the student’s specific access barriers.

Guidelines for Faculty

Faculty who receive a Letter of Accommodation are responsible for providing the listed accommodations in a timely manner. Other responsibilities include:

  • Keep accommodation information confidential. Faculty may not ask students about the nature of their disability, request documentation from the student, or share information with the class.
  • Ensure that instructional materials are accessible. Assistance is available through the Center of Teaching and Learning (CTL).

Contact the ADA Coordinator if assistance is needed on how to implement an accommodation or if you believe the requested accommodation will fundamentally change the course requirements.
