I had never cut hair in my life. But the barbering instructors were amazing and it was all hands-on training. Everyday I learned something new and made sure I mastered each skill.
Graduating with my OTECH Graphic Design certificate before even finishing high school gave me an amazing head start
The students, hands down. Also, a HUGE shoutout to all my great co-workers. Great work climate from the administration down.
Having our culinary arts for lunch! Love their food and for a good price and it is also helping them with their
future jobs. I also love how everyone that goes to OTECH or works for OTECH is one big happy family!
With my OTECH certication in Web & Graphic Design, I was able to gain vast experience in the feld with customers all around the world. Now I’m back to pay it forward to the place that gave me the career I
always wanted! I started as a receptionist to learn more about the OTECH culture while a teaching
position opened up.
I love the ability to do my program remotely. I can do my online class work early in the morning, middle of the day, the evenings – I love it. I have monthly check in meetings and intro meetings at the beginning of every course to set me up for success. It’s fantastic for a remote program.
The instructors help you so much. They all have different perspectives because they’ve been working and are so good at helping you learn skillsThey are so understanding and they want you to come to school..
I had a good experience here. I liked the dedication of the instructors. They really cared about you. You get free parking, tuition’s cheap, you can apply for scholarships and the chance of you getting them is high. It’s a great school.
Now that my children have grown and left the nest, it’s my turn to go out into the world and have a career. And deciding to go to OTECH was a very easy decision. The classes are self-paced, up-to-date with what industry standard is. And whenever I need help, it’s personal and very one-on-one.
All of the instructors really do care. They want you to succeed and they want to find what makes the best environment for your success.
I’m going to school for free…working full-time helping my mom…money I’d pay for school goes back to my family.
When I started my pie business I was a little lost…OTECH helped me so much along the way…excel, Quickbooks, customer communication, anything with numbers…You need to come to OTECH to get the education.
I joined OTECH for a jumpstart…get a course done and jumpstart a career…so many opportunities opened up.
Having an education is important…you may have skills now but will develop them…don’t say no to opportunity.
Nervous to enroll at my age…but the support from EVERYONE made it worth it…helped me land my dream job.
OTECH is the first place where you can ‘see it’…they broke down the process…OTECH makes it too easy.
OTECH’s partnership with Weber State…covered elective credits, saved me thousands, helped me advance.
I’m a full-time mom…needed flexibility…that’s why I chose OTECH…flexible schedules and inexpensive.
OTECH brings you something special that you can’t get anywhere else…my hands-on experience at OTECH has prepared me for my future career…grateful that OTECH has given me the knowledge to be able and confident when I start.
“There’s a huge skills gap between our workforce, what they can do and what we need them to do. And that’s why technical colleges like OTECH are so instrumental.”
My time at OTECH was very beneficial in my journey to becoming a nurse. I am very grateful for the friends that I made here.

It’s how well a student is doing in their classes and moving forward in their program.
The minimum academic performance students must meet to get and keep financial aid. Check the specific requirements for SAP under each type of funding.
Equation: (number of credits completed ÷ number of credits attempted = academic performance)
4 credits completed ÷ 6 credits taken = 67%
7 credits completed ÷ 12 credits taken = 58%
At OTECH, 100% on-time completion means:
Part-time students – Must complete 1 credit every 2 weeks.
Full-time students – Must complete 1 credit every week.
At OTECH, we have many school scholarships. We also accept federal financial aid, military veterans’ funding, and outside scholarships. We can help you with any of these types of financial aid.
The college may re-award scholarships to students returning from religious, military, or extended leave, depending on the scholarship. Please contact the Financial Aid and Scholarship team for help with your situation.
