Suicide Prevention

If you or someone you know is experiencing thoughts of suicide, there is help. You can reach out on behalf of yourself or another student if you are concerned for their safety.

Students can access one of the college’s trained student support specialists by calling 801-627-8300 or by visiting the reception desk in the Student Services Building, or reach out to one of the following resources:

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

Call, text, or chat 988 to be connected to trained counselors. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary. The previous phone number (1-800-273-8255) will also remain available.
