Frequently Asked Questions

What are the hours of operation?

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Fridays: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Appointments begin at 8:30 a.m. No testing will begin after 6:30 p.m.

All testing requires a valid form of ID

 

OTECH Students:

  • Student ID for all course testing
 
Admissions Testing – Please bring one of the following:
  • A valid Government issued pictured ID
  • A valid current High School pictured ID
 

All other tests must have ONE of the following in order to test:

  • A valid State Driver’s License
  • A valid State identification card
  • A valid U.S. Passport
  • Alien Registration Card (green card, permanent resident visa)
  • Foreign passport 
  • Military ID with a signature
  • Secondary Valid Identity and Verification Documents
  • US Social Security Card
  • Debit or Credit Card with signature

 

Please check with your testing vendor for additional ID requirements.

Retest Schedule

  • 1st Attempt: Free
  • 2nd Attempt: 24 hours after the previous attempt – Free
  • 3rd Attempt: 2 weeks after the previous attempt – $10 fee
  • 4th Attempt: 4 weeks after the previous attempt – $10 fee

 

Maximum of 4 attempts within a 6-week period

Ongoing retakes: After the initial 6-week period, students may retest once per month. $10 fee per test.

One Year Reset: If no test has been taken in a year, the schedule resets and the first two tests are free. 

Documentation to waive testing must be attached to your admission application. Please allow up to two business days for processing. Documents must include your name, a birthdate or the last four numbers of your social security number, and the date the exam or course was taken. Please contact the testing center with any questions.

The Ogden-Weber Technical College Testing Center offers lockers to keep personal items in while testing. Keys are kept with the candidate until the exam is finished. Please remember that the Testing Center staff is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
